What Exactly is a Fire Fighting System?
A fire fighting system is a set of active fire protection measures engineered to detect, control, and extinguish a fire in its early stages. Unlike passive measures like fire-resistant walls, these systems take direct action. The goal is simple but vital: to suppress a fire before it can grow into an uncontrollable disaster, allowing occupants to evacuate safely and minimizing structural damage.
The Core Pillars of a Fire Fighting System
While systems vary based on the building’s size and use, they typically rely on three core pillars working in unison:

Detection System (The Brains): This is the system’s early warning network. It includes smoke detectors, heat detectors, and sometimes flame detectors. Once triggered, they send an immediate signal to the central control panel, initiating the response.
